On June 29, 2005, DBT gave permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Subject: [etree] Drive-By Truckers taping and trading policy for Internet Archives
Audience audiotaping is permitted at Drive-By Truckers shows at the
discretion of the band and venue, as long as it does not interfere with
other fans' enjoyment of the show.
Fan recording of Drive-By Truckers concerts is authorized for non-commercial
purposes only. Distribution of authorized Drive-By Truckers recordings is
permitted, provided that all exchanges are equal; no money may change hands
and no extra media shall be included as a condition of copying a recording.
The only exception to this policy shall be the inclusion of a pre-stamped,
self-addressed envelope as part of a "blanks and postage" (B&P) agreement.
No copyrighted material shall ever be distributed via trade, electronically
or otherwise.
If Drive-By Truckers decide to release a recording of a show or part of a
show (via physical media such as CD, cassette or digital download), this
official version will take precedence over amateur recordings and said
performance should no longer be traded.
Drive-By Truckers reserve the right to restrict taping at any show if they
so desire. All Drive-By Truckers performances and recordings are the
exclusive property of Drive-By Truckers.
